Applied Kinesiology (AK)

Applied Kinesiology (AK), is a simple safe, natural method of analyzing the body’s structural, physical, mental, emotional and nutritional needs. I use this energy assessment technique to test your body’s bio-electrical reflexes, which relate to acupuncture points and meridians (the body’s bio-electrical pathways). You may have heard the term Autonomic Response Testing or Muscle Testing to refer to this assessment technique.

Hundreds of miles of nerves carry electrical energy and connect with every organ, gland, muscle and tissue. There are approximately 75 known reflex areas on the skin which represent various organs, glands and bone structures. When the body becomes ill there is an interruption of nerve energy to these reflexes. The reflex, when tested, will act similar to a circuit breaker under an overload. When I locate an imbalance or a “block”, I know the bio-electrical nerve energy has been disrupted, interrupted or blocked completely.

There is either an excess or deficiency of electrical nerve impulses flowing to the test muscle. Using this bio-feedback information, I am able to determine the problem is structural, physical or nutritional. Through years of practical experience in muscle testing I have become efficient in muscle self-testing and do not need to use my client’s arm to muscle test. (The photo above is simply to demonstrate what usual muscle testing looks like) I find that this allows my clients to fully relax while keeping their arm resting comfortably.

I personally test every client for a perfect match for bio energetic remedies, botanical and nutritional supplements before I recommend anything. In my practice, I use Applied Kinesiology together with Chinese Mudra to assure that I am accurate in my assessments and my treatments. Your body knows what it needs to heal and this technique allows me to tap into your body to ask it what it needs.
